XV. The Christian and the Social Order
All Christians are under obligation to seek to make the will of Christ supreme in our own lives and in human society. Means and methods used for the improvement of society and the establishment of righteousness among men can be truly and permanently helpful only when they are rooted in the regeneration of the individual by the saving grace of God in Jesus Christ. In the spirit of Christ, Christians should oppose racism, every form of greed, selfishness, and vice, and all forms of sexual immorality, including adultery, homosexuality, and pornography. We should work to provide for the orphaned, the needy, the abused, the aged, the helpless, and the sick. We should speak on behalf of the unborn and contend for the sanctity of all human life from conception to natural death. Every Christian should seek to bring industry, government, and society as a whole under the sway of the principles of righteousness, truth, and brotherly love. In order to promote these ends Christians should be ready to work with all men of good will in any good cause, always being careful to act in the spirit of love without compromising their loyalty to Christ and His truth. This essay states that to be a Christian you have to be obedient, and ask this question, “Am I engaged in any sexual conduct outside of Christian marriage, like pornography or fornication or adultery or homosexual acts?”

Generally on the First Baptist Church they talk sexual immorality in general terms, after defined homosexuality as being immoral.

People should always realize that the churches which want to have Gays executed, just the pot of homophobic Christianity boiling over. In this case Jeffress would want homosexuals arrested and incarcerated. Quoting this message:

Talks about “4 ‘explosive’ decisions by the U.S. Supreme Court” which he says is going to lead the inevitable destruction of the United States. This is a convention of the National Religious Broadcasters. Jeffress isn’t laughed off the stage. You have to wonder, since his views weren’t secret, why he was even invited. This should tell you a lot of about Evangelical Christianity.

What you see in Robert Jeffress is the same hysterical fanaticism which has driven Christianity over the centuries where they burn witches, engage in religious wars, burn heretics, prosecute scientist Galileo, burn the philosopher Giordorno Bruno, ban the writings of Copernicus, slaughter the Algigensians, empower the Inquisition, and exterminate the indigenous religions of Europe, North America and South America.
The City of Dallas must take a strong stand against this fanatical homophobia which is a real menace to the LGBT and only restrained by the federal government.
My proposal to rebuke this fanaticism is to rename Ervay Street, named after a really horrible person, to Harvey Milk St. This would be a strong statement against anti-LGBT fanaticism.
