The protestant churches were brought to African by the slave trade and the European imperialists. In America, it was brought to the slaves by the slave owners. Some Africans seeing the religion having the power, the power demonstrated by their slave owners, abandoned their African religions and embraced the religion of the slaveowners.

Since coming back in Nov. 2023, homophobic pastors are dropping like flies. I might have to do a directory post of pastors resigning, being arrested, involving sexual activities.
