Chase Oaks Churchs uses AIDS Supper Clubs to support their "rebranding" of homophobic Christianity.
Homophobic exploits AIDS patients to make their homophobia look loving. Pastor of Church has book, "Rebranding Christianity," and using AIDS patients is one way he rebranding.

Chase Oaks Church, Supper Clubs, and AIDS Services of Dallas
The Dallas Morning News published an essay from a pastor from the homophobic Chase Oaks Church and I was doing my usual research on what type of Chase Oaks Church was, they are homophobic, and what their agenda was and I stumble across two of their webpages where they discuss how they work with the AIDS Services of Dallas.
DMN, Dec. 19, 2024, “Six tips for navigating holiday emotions,”by Shanda Gunter, care pastor at Chase Oaks Church.
https://www.dallasnews.com/opinion/commentary/2024/12/19/six-tips-for-navigating-holiday-emotions/
These are the webpages where they discuss working with AIDS Services of Dallas.
ChaseOaksChurch, Apr. 30, 2019, “How We Can Partner with AIDS Services of Dallas.”
This page mentions AIDS Services of Dallas including in this section. They emphasize that the primary demographic of the victims of HIV are Gays. Then they discuss how they might help.
How We Can Support AIDS Services of Dallas
Since ASD focuses on caring for the most vulnerable in our community, Chase Oaks Church is partnering with them to make a difference. This season, we have two great ways we can support AIDS Services of Dallas.
Give Generously
We can give generously to the#LoveDoesTheUnexpectedFund, where we will disperse a percentage of these funds to aid ASD in loving people with HIV/AIDS.
Our donations will go toward providing housing and support services to individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS. To show love to the most vulnerable in our community, you can give now.
Act Surprisingly
Supper Clubsprovide a nutritious meal to ASD residents and give them an opportunity for social interaction that many residents are unable to get on a day-to-day basis. Supper Clubs are sponsored by local organizations.
At Chase Oaks, we will be providing an opportunity for you to serve and love those affected by HIV/AIDS through Chase Oaks sponsored Supper Clubs. If you or your group is interested in being a part of ASD’s Supper Clubs, please email outreach@chaseoaks.org and let us know. [Boldface added to this paragraph.]
There are “Chase Oaks sponsored Supper Clubs.” Notice that Chase Oaks doesn’t tell you to just go as an individual to contact AIDS Services of Dallas to join a Supper Club or to organize a Supper Club on your own. They want you to go to the Chase Oaks sponsored Supper Club. Interacting with AIDS patients will be under their control and according to their program.
The above “Supper Clubs” link on the Chase Oaks Church webpage goes to this page.

Though they are mentioning, “AIDS Services of Dallas,” repeatedly, they don’t make it clear that “LoveDoesTheUnexpectFund,” is a Chase Oaks Fund and NOT the AIDS Services of Dallas. Perhaps to the church members this is clear, but to the general public reading their webpage it might not be. This is the page the “give now” link goes to.

As for the link to a page with the text link, “This season, we have two great ways we can support AIDS Services of Dallas.” goes to a link about their global programs. It wasn’t available on the Internet Archive either, and so what these programs were isn not know.

Chase Oaks Makes a Difference
Recently, Pastor of External Ministries John Stanley was able to deliver $5000 worth of gift cards from Chase Oaks to the residents of ASD, helping to brighten their holidays as part of a Christmas gift initiative.
And right before New Year’s, College Ministry Resident Crystal Johnson invited a group of college students to join her in cooking dinner for ASD residents through the ASD Supper Club initiative. Supper Clubs provide a nutritious meal to ASD residents and give them an opportunity for social interaction that many residents are unable to get on a day-to-day basis.
Although none of the students knew how to cook, they were able to prepare a delicious taco meal, to the delight of the residents:
“...one of the residents at ASD was saying they don’t get Mexican often and so he was really thrilled. I asked what they normally get, and he said a lot of pasta and pizza because people typically just want something quick, cheap and easy. They were really touched that it was a home-cooked meal and something different from the usual.”
Another student shared, “This was one of my favorite moments of the year. I had a horrible year, and this was a really great way to end it.”
Looking ahead, Chase Oaks is working to build a Supper Club team to serve the residents of ASD on a regular basis. If you are interested in joining the Supper Club team or would like more information, contact outreach@chaseoaks.org.

This was concerning. The link goes to Chase Oaks, and not to AIDS services of Dallas.

Their homophobia
They want to be the nicest homophobes as possible.
God is against being Gay. Takes a long time to say it, since he wants to be the nicest homophobe possible.
The same video is embedded on their church website.

ChaseOaksChurch, June 1, 2024, “How To Love Our LGBTQ+ Family and Friends.”
Some quotes:
This is about image management of Christianity. They still want to eliminate homosexuality, but have a positive image in doing so.
A recent survey revealed that 90% of young people today think a main identifier of Christianity is that it is anti-homosexual. For people in the LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and others) community, it is a challenge to reconcile a message about a loving God with a feeling of rejection from the church. As Christ-followers, we are called to love our LGBTQ+ friends and create an inviting atmosphere for them in our churches.
They want to be able to lure LGBT into their homophobic religion.
No matter what our beliefs are about same-sex attraction and relationships, there are ways we can love our LGBTQ+ friends and neighbors well. Our actions can make a difference to their perspective on faith and God, and create a safe space where they can be real and experience the profound love of Jesus Christ.
Then there is a numbered plan how to lure LGBT into their church and maintain a positive public image in their campaign against the LGBT.

ChaseOaksChurch, Jun 30, 2022, “How Can Christians Better Love the LGBT+ Community?”
Homophobia is getting slick.
What does it look like for Christians and the church to love the LGBTQ community like Jesus does? Or to just do better caring for our family, friends, and neighbors who are part of the LGBTQ community—even while holding a traditional view of marriage and sexuality? On the Good Complex podcast, Chase Oaks Senior Pastor Jeff Jones sat down to talk with Bill Henson, founder of Posture Shift, an organization dedicated to wrestling through some of those issues. Read just a small portion of their fascinating conversation, below:

What is Chase Oaks possible agenda partnering with AIDS Services of Dallas?
The pastor of Chase Oaks has a book titled, “Rebranding Christianity.”
From this page he explains that Chrsitianity is losing influence on the public.
Christianity in America is at an inflection point.
In the US, the Christian brand is losing relevance and influence. A key reason is that Christians, who represent the brand to the world, fail to display what Jesus wants us to be known for: radical love. The next 5-10 years will either deepen the decline or witness a movement to become more of who Jesus called us to be.
We want to spark a movement. To help chart a path forward, Chase Oaks Lead Pastor Jeff Jones wrote a book called “Rebranding Christianity.” Download a free chapter to discover more about this important conversation and how you can join in.

This is the Amazon page for the book.

There is a website for the book.

The very visible nasty homophobia of Evangelical Christians is bringing Christianity down. They want to remain homophobic, but at the same time keep Christianity from Crashing.
So these AIDS Suppers by Chase Oaks serves these purposes.
Rebrands homophobic Christianity as loving of the LGBT.
Provides a way for Chase Oak member to feel good about their homophobia.
Opportunity to prostylize to a vulnerable population.
Christians are always looking for moments of emotional vulnerability to share the so-called “good news of Jesus.”
What is concerning is that this program of theirs with AIDS Services of Dallas went on for about three years and might still be happening. I only stumbled across this by accident.
How many other homophobic groups have managed to insinuate themselves into AIDS Services of Dallas?
How many currently are insinuated into AIDS Services of Dallas?
I plan to ask some questions to find out.
Unless AIDS Services of Dallas has recognized what has happened with Chase Oaks Church and has a plan to prevent reoccurance, AIDS Services of Dallas is not a safe place for LGBT.
