Introduction
This is a short post to explain a concept to be used as a explanatory reference in posts where there is a differential advantage for LGBT to exploit. In other posts, I can provide a link to this post as a reference post to explain the concept.
Background
During the covid pandemic a lot of homophobic talk show hosts and homophobic Christians were dying because they refused to follow covid safety and when the vaccination became available, refused to get it.
A right-wing talk show host in Colorado who mocked victims of AIDS on his show refused vaccination and died of covid. This is a link to the article.

There was endlessly homophobic Christians and right wingers, both in the United States and globally who refused to get vaccinated, ranted against vaccination and died. The news media start reporting on the series of anti-vaxxer radio talk show hosts dying of covid. The following is a link to such an article.
Evangelicals became the group least likely to get vaccinated.

I am not saying that every homophobic Christian was rejecting vaccination, or every LGBT person was getting vaccinated. What I am talking about is the differential between LGBT and homophobic Christians.
The problem was getting to the point it was a risk to the electoral prospects of conservative politicians. If thousands of conservatives get covid and die, or have long covid and it becomes difficult to get to the polling stations to vote, elections could be lost.
John Nolte, writer for Breitbart was doing articles urging conservatives to get vaccinated. In the comments conservatives raged at him for being pro-vax. These are the articles. Nolte notices that Trump supporters were dying a lot.
Meanwhile LGBT were getting vaccinated at a rate much higher than the general public. Here are some reports.
That is when the concept of differential advantage came to me. LGBT had a powerful advantage over homophobes just by getting vaccinated. There was an opportunity to keep this differential advantage by keeping the rate of vaccination for Gays high, and to increase this differential advantage by increasing the rate of vaccination for covid for Gays.
If homophobes were rejecting other types of vaccination, there was an opportunity for Gays to have a differential advantage just by getting other vaccinations. Seems evangelicals are rejecting other types of vaccination.
Differential Advantage & Strategies
Differential advantages help the strategic position of the LGBT in relationship to homophobes.
The question arises what other differential advantages does the LGBT have over homophobes? What trends or practices in the LGBT community could be amplified that would give us an increased differential advantage over homophobes?
The LGBT face powerful enemies and every strategy to oppose them and defeat them needs to be examined closely. A strategy where we do something beneficial for ourselves that homophobes refuse to do for themselves is an easy opportunity to pursue and additionally we benefit. The only effort likely necessary is to educate the LGBT community as to the advantage, point out that it is a differential advantage over homophobes and counter any elements in the LGBT community opposing it.
For example in regards to covid safety, the LGBT paper, Dallas Voice ran this article by a conservative Gay whose foolish actions at the time of the article had already killed his mother-in-law and gotten himself, his spouse, his parents and other relatives sick.

Given that homophobes are often fools in life, and have other delusional (delulu) beliefs there are likely other opportunities for Gays to have a differential advantage.
When pursuing these strategies we will need to be careful that they don’t fracture the LGBT community. We want to encourage and being supportive of what works and gives advantage, rather than be scolds.
