Focus on the Family opinion piece in the Dallas Morning News. Feeling empowered by Trump victory.
Some hard truths in it also. Trump victory enabled by ideological extremes in the LGBT movement which the Democrats gave into. I am not Gilberto Hinojosa. I won't be bullied.
Thinking that the future belongs to you brings a kind of smug arrogance.

Focus on the Family Opinion piece in the Dallas Morning News is an expansion of a blog post by Jim Daly.
An ominous threat to the nation.
This is the article at the Dallas Morning News, Nov. 9, 2024, “Focus on the Family president: Americans voted for their families.”
This is the Daily Focus blog post by Jim Daly, Nov. 6, 2024, “Focus President Jim Daly Reacts to Tuesday Night’s Historic Election.”
Jim Daly’s post was reported on and extensively quoted in the Christian Post, Nov. 9, 2024, “Focus on the Family president 'encouraged' by election outcome despite mixed results on abortion laws.”

I haven’t found an essay about Trump’s election by Jim Daly in any of the other major dailies so far. There are articles where they report on multiple faith leaders, but it seems only the Dallas Morning News has given him space to have an article by him in their paper. If I am wrong, let me know.
Focus on the Family feels empowered to enact their agenda and opponents will be crushed.
President-elect Donald Trump’s historic triumph on Tuesday rattled the electoral Richter scale in Washington, D.C., like few other campaigns. [Boldface added.]
What he is saying is that it is a political earthquake, that the whole political situation is shaken to the ground and the political bedrock is shifted.
He repeats this idea toward the end.
Seismologists pay close attention to fault lines and tremors, knowing even small ones hint at catastrophic events to come. It’s my hope and prayer that our elected officials will take note of this week’s results and get back to governing with common sense in ways that help, not hurt, families.
He is telling all the elected officials and cultural leaders that this political revolution will be coming after them if they don’t follow their agenda.
Also, a little Christian terrorism.
t was Thomas Jefferson who wrote, “I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that his justice cannot sleep forever.”
The article lays out what the Focus of the Family and the Christian Right agenda is.
This is my report about the Focus on the Family.
The election results, who elected Trump and what the homophobic Christians think the Trump victory means.
The Dallas Morning News ommitted their blistering homophobia allowing them to seem like a voice of some type of reason.
What was lost.
Abortion rights were lost.
What hopes for further legislation for Lesbians, Gays and Bis is dashed to the ground and smashed.
The same-sex marriages are all in danger of being nullified with a new supreme court ruling.
The anti-homosexual sex laws are in danger of being allowed with a new supreme court ruling. With that they will start raiding the bars and baths. In Dallas they raided the Club Baths in 2010.
The well organized Christian right are next ot the head of the table (Trump) in the new administration.
The people who support conversion therapy will now dictated to the CDC, National Institute of Heath, and other medical groups. They will direct the funding of research.
Transgender rights are in danger.
Drag shows face suppression.
There is a whole list of horrors likely to come.
Accountability isn’t a “blame game.”
Those whose political direction, policies, and ideologies which have resulted in this disaster of course would like to escape responsibility. They don’t want to have their performance reviewed so if you want to critique it, they want to stigmatize it as a “blame game.”
If you drove the car off the road into the ditch because you can’t steer a car, you need to realize that, or the car goes right back into the ditch when it is pulled out of the ditch and put back on the road and you start driving it again.
I don’t want to get into how the Democratic Party should be run, but they need to reflect that they have lost twice to Donald Trump and the religious right who both aren’t geniuses.
I don’t think people voted for Trump so much as they were really fed up with the status quo. At some point people are so angry they are willing to blow up the system, and they did.
The basic campaign idea of the Democrats was best expressed by a joke about if the Democrats were a beverage, their slogan would be, “At least we aren’t piss.” At some point people will be ready to drink piss rather than what you are serving and it seems on Nov. 5, 2024 the electorate was ready to drink piss (Trump) and did.
Transgender
I have always over the years have been annoyed by Gays who are vocal about disliking drag queens. I got to drag shows and I make sure I tip performers handsomely.
I really don’t like the Gays who are always worried what the straight people think.
I have been active in the defense of drag in the metroplex and also in terms of hard cash for legal fees. I have put my money where my mouth is.
Transgender people have rights. They have always existed. In Thailand they have a place in society and have had a place in society for some time. Thailand is 1% Christian.
I do have criticisms of the ideas of the initialism, but I don’t want to drop anyone. I do think the letters have independent paths, but these paths will cross often.
However, other people have rights and social harmony is not achieved by unilateralism, and the shutting down of dissident opinions and negociation.
Further, the claims of scientific authority by a certain particular group of psychologists is laughable. The whole history of psychology is it being driven over a cliff by ideology.
Feminism and Gay liberation had Freud and psychoanalysis as their obstacles and later revelations from the archives showed he was a fraud.
The whole recovered memory thing sent people to jail and destroyed lives, until it was finally realized that it was quackery.
The scientific press reports that the field of psychology has a “Reproducibility Crisis,” since basis fundamental experiments cannot be reproduced.
I am not going to go into the whole thing. I have an extended history of the follies of psychology, from moral panicking over comic books to pre-frontal lobotomy and electro shock therapy in a prelude to a report on the Cass Review.
Parents aren’t going to want swinging dicks in the girls’ lockerroom. You can blah blah blah all you want, you can angrily denounce me, but that is the objective reality.
People see MtF in college and professional sports having an obvious unfair advantage.
College women volleyball teams refusing to play transgender athletes gives us the spectacle of women fighting the “women’s” movement.
The so-called gender affirming care doesn’t have the science behind it and the future is going to have bitterly lamenting detransitioners with irreversible harm.
Gay men were denounced because they wouldn’t have sex with Gay transmen.
I watched the 538 polls during the month of Oct. 2024 leading and in Nov. to the day of the election. The percentage lead while the transgender ads were playing dropped from 2.6 percent to 1.0 percent just before the election. The LGBT press was in total denial about the drop and now are in total denial about the impact of certain trans ideological excesses on the defeat of Harris and the election disaster of Nov. 5, 2024. Stonewall issued a declaration denouncing Gilberto Hinojosa.
The LGBT press and the various groups are NOT your friends. They serve interest groups.
A policy of advancing your views by angry denunciations doesn’t convince anyone, it just drives dissent underground and dissent finding another path.
Our American politics is Calvinist deriving from the Puritans. You can see in on Facebook and other social media. There are the Elect and the Damned and angry voices telling everyone who is who.
Don’t dump the trans. However, the LGBT need to consider each other and others in finding reapproachment. The LGBT need to stop having elites and ideologues dictate who they are, what they should believe, and where they should go.
Jim Daly and Focus of the Family are quite aware of the utility of using Trans to advance their agenda.
From both the Dallas Morning News article and the Daily Focus blog post.
They believe their daughters shouldn’t have to fear boys in their locker room – or face off against them in a woman’s sporting event.
Much of both articles by Jim Daly framed the election of Trump as resulting from peoples’ annoyance at being talked down to. That is another thing that perhaps LGBT and Queer studies elites might consider.
Empowering the Focus on the Family is extremely dangerous.
The Democrats are aware of the impact of the current Trans agenda.
Scream and yell all you might, but the Democrats aren’t going to shove themselves into the wood choppers of history. What might happen is that they will decied that the LGBT are not reasonable and need to be dropped entirely. Though I don’t think that will happen. I am sure the “flexible” LGBT media and Queer studies people are already planning their shift to what the Democratic Party decides the LGBT needs to be.
It won’t be what we think it needs to be, or should be, it will be what it wants and needs.
What do we need to do?
We do NOT need to dump trans. We do need to reconceptualize everything.
We live in the 21st century and we aren’t developing out thoughts.
We need to detach outselves from the establishment (neoliberals which isn’t liberalism.) and the Democratic Party.
We need to stop being arrogant and think that our thinking is going to be dominating in an inevitable historical triumph. As a historian I can tell you history is cruel.
We need to reformulate our movements. We need to do this in free discussion and not in an environment of denunciation.
The alternative is our destruction at the hands of homophobic Christians.
We need to have tougher tactics fighting homophobic Christianity.
