The Scandal

Charisma News, Nov. 21, 2024, “Daystar’s Lamb Family Faces Allegations of Abuse and Cover-Up.”
In a breaking exclusive by The Roys Report (TRR), Jonathan Lamb and his wife Suzy have accused his parents, Marcus and Joni Lamb, of hiding and covering up alleged sexual abuse of one of their children.
They tell TRR this saga has been going on for years, and led to Jonathan’s dismissal as president of Daystar in the event of Marcus’ death.

“To my horror, when I got up there, my daughter was completely naked, and (he) was in the room,” Jonathan states, also in an interview with TRR. “And I was just immediately like, ‘What are you doing?’—screaming at the top of my lungs. And (he) is like, ‘I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry.’ He apologized like 50 times, like I caught somebody red-handed.”

They report that Jonathan Lamb was put on a Performance Improvement Program and terminated and Jonathan Lamb was engaged in a smear camapaign.
Jonathan Lamb says he was fired for refusing to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

What I think is the situation.
It is hard to say, but the timing suggests to me he was fired as part of some power struggle and this was his counter attack. Also, it might have been that Jonathan Lamb is upset with his mother remarrying. Of course, it might be it was a power struggle and there is a sex scandal.
When heirs fight over the inheritance of a lucrative ministry, it can bring it down. The whole Crystal Cathedral ministry came tumbling down as the heirs fought over it.
However, I don’t think this is going to happen here. The son doesn’t appear to have a following or power base and got pushed out. So I am disappointed. The best we can hope for is a little reputational damage, but even that will be very minor and people will forget.
Though in controlling power, family members are usually essential to hold positions formally, even if an assistant runs the operation, and to be another set of eyes watching what happens, another contributor to strategizing. The Lamb family has one less person in their operation. Maybe he wasn’t of value for anything though.
However, they are Evangelical Christians, there is a good likelihood they will do something really stupid. The founder Marcus Lamb was a vocal anti-vaxxer during the Covid pandemic and died of Covid. So being Evangelicals there is always a good likelihood of them doing something really stupid.

UPDATE: It could be that it is a power struggle and that there is a previously hidden sex scandal that is being revealed by the son as part of the power struggle.
Daystar carries a lot of anti-Gay programming.
Anything that knocks it down even a little is a benefit in that it weakens a major enemy of the LGBT.

My guess is that he grew up in a Daystar bubble and isn’t connected to the realities of the world. He doesn’t have a following. He probably lacks any real job skills. He was fired from his last job. He probably can’t get into the Jesus business and unless he has an inheritance he is really facing financial hardships.
