Acting for all the LGBT in the world shocked by the horrific murderous homomphobia of Uganda, Dallas LGBT should make sure local government doesn't support them, and let them know they are unwelcome.

Uganda North American Association is coming to Dallas for their 35th Annual Convention, Sept. 1st - 4th 2023 at the Anatole Hotel.

The Ugandan North American Association (UNAA) here in this video is asserting that they support the anti-homosexual movement.
We should expect that the UNAA in Dallas will try to detach itself the vicious homophobia of Uganda. We shouldn’t believe it. They receive funds from the Ugandan government. This post on the Ugandan government’s website documents this.
The vicious anti-LGBT law passed by a vicious government
Uganda has come out with a bill including a death penalty. This is a story in the guardian.
The brutal beatings of young Gay men.
Before anyone starts making excuses for the Uganda North American Association (UNAA) about they might or might not have the same views as the Ugandan government, let me show this video where the UNAA says they will support “African values.”
Brutal beating of young Gay men. Warning, this is really bad.
Let’s not have a lot of “intellectual” chatting to try to minimize the Uganda North American Association (UNAA) having their 35th annual convention in Dallas, Sept. 2023.
About that nonsense that homosexuality is un-African.
The fact is that homophobia, like Christianity is a Western import that came with the imperialist conquest of their lands, and their minds and souls.
You can download this useful paper written about colonialism and homophobia. It is titled, “Homosexuality in Traditional Africa.”
I also purchased this book. It is about the politics regarding homosexuality in post-colonial Africa.
The Ugandans have based their national story on a particularly homophobic story and they can’t tolerate homosexuals since that would lead to the revelation how homophobia and Christianity handed over their nation to the British and Cecil Rhodes’ empire building, you know that Cape to Cairo thing.
Some places on the earth the Europeans weren’t able to eradicate their ancient cultures and religions such as Thailand and Japan and China, and in some places like in the Andes the culture of the Incans is just mute stones in the mountains. Uganda might consider really how African they are.
South Africans have rallies to protest this anti-homosexual bill.
We need to respond, we need to let Uganda know that their values are not welcome here.
I have written Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson and copied the Dallas City Council asking that the Ugandan flag not be flow at City Hall and that we not have dealings with UNAA or Uganda and certainly not welcome their convention. I will be doing a post on this letter seperately. But I wanted people that efforts are already in the works. And sign the petition that follows.
UPDATE 1
One of the three letters written to U.S. House Rep. Jasmine Crockett was about making sure that the process of asylum for LGBT Ugandans was supported, including those running into the U.S. Embassy there. The post is April 3, 2023. I hope to hear back.
PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION
We ask that that the City of Dallas and Dallas County not fly the Ugandan flag or have dealings with the Ugandan government and associated organizations.
