National School Chaplain Association, a new face for an older organization and more explicity sectarian and prostylizing group.
This group is a menace for LGBT youth in the schools. Dallas Express is pushing for this group.

Introduction
The bill to put chaplains into the schools is a menace to LGBT students. They certainly will work against their interests and function essentially as religious police in relation to LGBT students.
I had an earlier post about the legislation to put school chaplains and the Dallas Independent School Districts (DISD) rejection of chaplains in writing about an article by the Dallas Express reporting on the DISD rejecting chaplains.
This post is about one of the National School Chaplain Association which was quote in an article by the Dallas Express to support school chaplains. I think that this school chaplain is a serious menace to LGBT students. So I am doing posts about some of the persons and elements behind this effort to build up the background and provide information resources for Dallas Gay Liberation’s readers. . My article follows:
National School Chaplain Association.
The Dallas Express is pushing the use of chaplains in the public schools. (Link to post about them at the very end.)

The following is the text of the bill authorizing school chaplains.

One of the groups he quotes in support is the National School Chaplain Association (NSCA). So this post reports on them. They are an evangelical Christian group which is very likely is a menace to LGBT students. They have this website.

The head of the effort is Rocky J. Malloy.

Two X accounts.

https://twitter.com/missiongen This X account states,
“Mission Generation teaches the Word of God in schools using our own textbooks. The project has expectations of reaching a million children by 2010.”
Two LinkedIn accounts.

At the bottom of their webpage is the following:
National School Chaplain Association is a subsidiary of Mission Generation, Inc., a Texas non-profit corporation and a qualified charitable organization under §501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code established in 1990. Mission Generation currently has a ten-member board. All those who serve on Mission Generation’s board do so without compensation. In addition, Mission Generation has administrative offices in Bolivia, Panama, and the United States.
Mission Generation is also approved by ECFA.

Shape Shifting.
They used to have a webpage on the Internet, now it redirects to the NSCA webpage.
This is from 2008, the first year their webpage shows up at the Internet Archive.
https://web.archive.org/web/20081201100239/http://missiongeneration.org/index.html
It was a missionary organization focused on Latin America, specifically Bolivia.
https://web.archive.org/web/20081201100900/http://missiongeneration.org/about.html
https://web.archive.org/web/20090107030512/http://missiongeneration.org/about_sof.html
https://web.archive.org/web/20090107044302/http://missiongeneration.org/about_vm.html
Now it seems with a new façade it is working to do with the American school systems what it did in Bolivia.
On the Internet Archive it is a global missionary group still in 2020. It talks about Prayer Warriors.
https://web.archive.org/web/20201101010842/https://www.missiongeneration.org/
It is a missionary effort May 24, 2022.
https://web.archive.org/web/20220524002918/http://www.missiongeneration.org/
However, September 15, 2022 the message about schools around the world and the missionary focus is gone. The image for it is a typical American school with a yellow school bus.
https://web.archive.org/web/20220524002918/http://www.missiongeneration.org/
However, for the Internet Archive capture on May 28, 2023 there is a redirection as follows.
https://web.archive.org/web/20230528023242/http://www.missiongeneration.org/
to this.

You are sent to the National School Chaplains Association website.
At this June 6, 2023 version, there is a section “Chaplains are the Answer, “and the section has a titled, “God and Country” and they assert the following:
School chaplain duties include but are not limited to prayer, counsel, and spiritual care for the school staff, the students, and their families.
Offer counsel based on timeless biblical values
Serve as a source of biblical truth
Help teachers and students navigate life’s challenges
That is dropped from the current version of 1/13/2024 of their webpage.
The list of “School Benefits” are at this page. Gone is the religious explicit missionary statement.
https://www.nationalschoolchaplainassociation.org/school-benefits
The claimed benefits are “School Safety,” “Teacher Retention,” “Mental Health.”
Additionally the page states in a section “What school chaplains will not do,” and
Accept gifts or gratuities from teachers, staff, or students for any services
Promote a particular religious group or church, preach, or proselytize
Force a conversation or relationship with teachers, staff, or students
Break confidentiality of discussions with teachers, staff, or students
Report to management regarding employee work habits
Interfere with the teacher or school staff work process
Judge lifestyle or personal conduct
[Boldface added to above item.]
Though in the About Us page there is the following message.
https://www.nationalschoolchaplainassociation.org/about-us
Which has a Principles section in the “Making an Impact,” section with the heading, “For God & County.” This section contradicts the claim that they aren’t promoting a particular religious group.
We display Christ in what we say and do. We meet people where they are, no matter the circumstance, to show compassion and love just as Jesus would.
It seems that the NSCA isn’t promoting a specific denomination and so they can claim that these claims aren’t contradictory.
However, the Internet is where you can leave a lot of finger prints.
For example their entry at Mission Finder for Mission Generation states:
The battle ground of the culture war is K-12 schools! According to a report from the Barna Group – two out of three Christians make a commitment to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior before their 18th birthday. Human secularist know this well and have deprive young people of the opportunity to hearing the Gospel. Since the vast majority of school-aged children are unchurched, the only remaining solution to reach children through school. [Boldface added.]

This is a Feb. 9, 2023 speaking event.
https://truetexasproject.com/event/feb-9-dallas-mission-generation/
This is what the event says Rocky Malloy’s mission is:
This month at True Texas Project we will be hearing from Rocky Malloy, the founder and CEO of Mission Generation. This organization is leading the charge in putting Jesus back into public schools and Rocky is here to tell you the “how and why”. It’s no secret that our society is failing children and has ceased to prioritize family structure and faith, so come and learn what can be done to help counter this issue in your own schools. Bring a friend who needs to hear about true solutions to real-world problems!
However, in selling the project to the public, Rocky Malloy doesn’t talk about protolyzing as in this video. He pushes it as a secular project as in this video.
The board of directors for this group is on this page.
https://www.nationalschoolchaplainassociation.org/about-us
ECFA certification.
As stated, the NSCA has ECFA certification, specifically Mission Generation Inc. They require that the group have an evangelical Christian faith and push “biblical truths.” They maybe evasive, but a deep dive into their documents show that they are homophobic.
In this post I reviewed them in detail.
Conclusion
These chaplains will be a clear menace to LGBT students in the schools.
Homophobia is becoming much more stealth.
