In this recent article, it represents the situation that Kelley Neidert was in real danger. I was there and the facts are that PTK set up next to the entry way to Dallas Pride and provoked people and some of them mouthed off. No one was armed, and the people expressing their anger likely don’t even own a firearm nor had any intention of using one.

Next Target is Dallas City Hall, then it will likely be on to the Strip on Cedar Springs.
The Drag Shows at businesses have been shut down in North Texas. Dallas Pride is over. PTK will be needing its next target and the anti-trans campaign will need its next target to continue to be active.
Dallas City Hall and its grounds are ideal for political protests.
The Dallas Express reporting is done June 1st to June 3rd which raises the issue before and during June 3rd Dallas Pride and is well coordinated to set up the support for the next campaign after Dallas Pride.
The goal of PTK and the Dallas Express is very likely not just the policies that they are reporting on regarding transgender persons, but also to test and perhaps break the support that LGBT might have at Dallas City Hall. I think some LGBT in Dallas are in for some unpleasant surprises.
PTK has been steadily chipping away at the LGBT community. Instead of taking on the LGBT on Cedar Springs immediately, they have been shutting down small pieces of the LGBT, making the scope of the LGBT activities progressively smaller and grinding down the size of the LGBT community.
Now if they can successfully force a change at Dallas City Hall, they will not only once again, shrink LGBT rights in Dallas, but more importantly they will show the powerless of the LGBT in Dallas.
It will be interesting to observe how the elected officials at Dallas City Hall who were endorsed by the Stonewall Democrats perform. Hopefully they won’t cast confused votes like Texas State Sen. Royce West.
In showing how the LGBT in Dallas don’t have significant support at Dallas City Hall, that it is a vulnerable community, without real friends, they will encourage other anti-LGBT institutions, of which Dallas has several, to target the LGBT.
Then we will be seeing them on the Strip on Cedar Springs, since there will be nothing else for them to attack and they will be greatly encouraged to do so since it will be clear that the LGBT in Dallas are very much on their own.
The Dallas LGBT needs some fight in it.
There has been this rejection of the tactics and spirit of Gay liberation in Dallas. In this 1996 D Magazine article there is this gleeful account on how they kept Gay liberation out of Dallas.

There has been this idea in the LGBT establishment that if the LGBT don’t cause trouble and be the nicest LGBT as they can be with the nicest assimilationist values and not be like those bad radical troublemaking LGBT that they would be successful. They call it the Dallas Way and it is supposed to be how the community here is successful because Dallas is different. Dallas LGBT is different all right, but more like the crazy aunt locked in the attic or the LGBT equivalent of Uncle Ruckus in the Boondocks cartoon.
We could use a real sexual orientation anti-discrimination ordinance and not the current shame in the municipal code. We could use a human rights commission for Dallas. But even this very minimal and not at all radical objectives is too much for the Dallas Pink Mafia.
Instead an article in the Dallas (Vichy) Voice is on how we can all runaway, because that is what the local LGBT establishment would rather do than confront the establishment.

I will be having an article on this story in the Dallas (Vichy) Voice. Usually ethnic groups don’t take a leadership role in their own ethnic cleansing, but then again ethnic groups, no matter how down trodden they are, aren’t Dallas LGBT.
