Pastor Tony Evans campaigned on national TV against Gay marriage.
I really don't care if there are some self-hating LGBT who like his church.

Introduction
I am getting a lot of denial of Tony Evan’s homophobia and since he is a major religious homophobe, I need to document him anyways, so I am doing so now.
Where possible links are submitted to the Internet Archive as always.
I will be adding in some things as time goes on. I want to get this posted, but there are somethings I want to research.
Dallas Morning News coverage and non-coverage.
I haven’t found out what the “sin” is. It might be a set up that the sin is pride or something and he will come back. The drama machine needs to constantly run.
As usual, Dallas Morning News covers up homophobia. Despite the fact that nationally Tony Evans is known for his opposition to Gay marriage, it isn’t mentioned.
It does mention his friendship with George Bush. At the time Obama came out in support, “evolved,” on Gay marriage, the Republicans thought they could get the African American vote away from Obama.
He went to Dallas Theological Seminary, a local homophobic institution.
This is a chronic problem with the Dallas Morning News in ommitting homophobia in their reporting.
Tony Evans was a nationally prominent opponet of Gay marriage.

This is the introduction:
America is in serious trouble. That's the sentiment of respected pastor Dr. Tony Evans as he considers the acceptance of homosexual marriage, legalization of marijuana, and the general lawlessness sweeping over our land. Is there anything believers can do to stop this landslide? Tony believes so, and shares what Christians can do to help turn the tide. [Boldface added.]

Babbling about Prayer to suppress discussion.
I notice when there is some scandle involving a minister, there is immediately an exhortation to prayer. People start asking questions, and they are urged to pray instead of discussing the issues. We will see some of this with the Tony Evan “step back.”
A victory, but limited.
The Evangelical churches are all about the cult of personality. When one falls, there are a dozen scrambling to take the fallen one’s place. Most of the followers won’t reflect on the way they practice their religion, they just want the fentanyl Jesus.
However, some followers will reflect and give up fentanyl Jesus and the cult of personality. While the new Evangelical leader is rising to take the fallen one’s place, there will be a period of less institutional strength against Gays.
The steady rate of scandals with ministers is steadily eroding Christian strenght, so as a part of a larger ongoing phenomenon this event is part of the decline of homophobic Christianity.
There might be a trend that at this point only fools and montebanks are looking to be ministers.
