It is important to have multiple connections online. We also need to think about being on X and at Substack. Facebook and YouTube have stupid computer algorithms and censorship.

This was the video banned. It documents Pastor Steven Anderson wanting Gays dead.
A lot of effort went into getting this video, uploading it onto Google so we had visual documentation that Anderson was wanting Gays dead was directly verified by ourself and was his current belief at the time of the protest, something he freely and was glad to express, and also show how he gloated stating his wish for Gays to be dead.
It was originally in this Dallas Gay Liberation Post. It was removed.

On 8/29/2024 I got this email. As always specifically what the violation is, you are left guessing. You can appeal, but only by requesting a review, without any input by yourself.
After doing this dumb as bricks thing, they want you to take training and there are threats against your account.
So in a very short time I got this reply. Notice how the “Safe Space” concept is really a repressive ideology. No one is in danger in watching the video. Nothing is going to leap out of their computer screen. “Safe Space” is an ideological tool for whining individuals to block speech they don’t like.
They refused to reinstate the video.
They made this decision in less than an hour. The time of the first email was 4:58 am, and this reply is 5:41 am. You have to subtract time for me to go online and read their warning etc. So it was very brief.
Facebook does the same.
This is the post that Facebook would accept for my article on harnessing a cultural force to go after homophobia. It rejected an earlier post becuase ofthe image I used.
However, what was really significant in the post is that the BL genera had reach Africa and was growing in popularity there.
I tried to use the following image for the Dallas Gay Liberation post.
It was a counter force against homophobia was there. A large fraction of Dallas residents are African American, and so this might be important to them. It also shows that BL isn’t a white thing.
It was rejected as being some type of devious spam. I didn’t find anyway to appeal.
Free Speech is important and the danger isn’t always from the right.
Whatever you think about Elon Musk, X doesn’t have a censorship problem and AI algorithms going after everything and blocking it and pulling it.
Further Substack doesn’t censor either.

Homophobes have realized how YouTube works and they just get stuff suppressed by filing complaints and sooner or later one will stick.
It wasn’t the Christian right that crushed Tumblr is was a corporation which crushed Tumblr in the face of whiney activists.
Daddyland attendees in Dallas were thrown out of Crowne Plaza not because of a religous right campaign, but because of a complaining sorority.
As for the whiners:
Just because you don’t feel safe, doesn’t prove that your are actually unsafe, you could just be a whiner hoping to get some authority to suppress an opinion you don’t like.
That is true for anything with substance. They are private companies and do what they believe impacts their bottom line. And it varies from company to company.
