The African American Methodist Churches' exterminating campaigns against Gays in Ghana.
While doing research I discovered groups that put on one face in the United States, but are busy tormenting and persecuting Gays in Ghana.

The African Methodist Episcopal Church, African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, Christian Methodist Church and The Salvation Army are American denominations. They all started in America. (These are the four I recognize right away.)
In America they are very circumspect in what they say about Gays. They are against Gay marriage and they think being Gay is a sin, but they don’t say much about it.

They run a vicious campaign against Gays in Ghana.
This is what is happening in Ghana.
It is called the “Promotion of Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill.”
BBC, Feb. 28, 2024, “Ghana passes bill making identifying as LGBTQ+ illegal.”
Ghana's parliament has passed a tough new bill that imposes a prison sentence of up to three years for anyone convicted of identifying as LGBTQ+.
It also imposes a maximum five-year jail term for forming or funding LGBTQ+ groups.
Lawmakers heckled down attempts to replace prison sentences with community service and counselling.
It is the latest sign of growing opposition to LGBTQ+ rights in the conservative West African nation.
The bill, which had the backing of Ghana's two major political parties, will come into effect only if President Nana Akufo-Addo signs it into law.

BBC, Dec. 18, 2024, “Ghana's Supreme Court dismisses challenges to anti-LGBT bill.”

So what was the Christian Council of Ghana position on this bill? They sponsored it.
Christian Council of Ghana, issued in 2024, “Assent to LGBTQ+ Bill: Christian Council, others appeal to President.”
The General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana, Rev. Dr Cyril G. K. Fayose, said the council, which was one of the sponsors of the bill, welcomed its passage into law, stressing that the bill was in the right direction and that "we would want to encourage the President to assent to it".
He said the bill went through a rigorous process and the invitation of views from civil society, religious and traditional organisations and that the comprehensive process gave opportunity to people to make inputs.
"I am satisfied with the outcome with it," he said, adding that "I think due diligence was done."
The US Embassy in Ghana has been one of the first critics of the passage of the Bill but Rev. Dr Fayose said the law was for Ghana and not the US."
He, however, welcomed the comments of some Ghanaians and civil society organisations on the matter since it bothered the citizenry.
"All the issues have been raised by competent people in our society and it has been looked out carefully, and this is the final verdict,” he said.
Rev. Dr Fayose said all those who opposed the Bill still had the right to their opinion on the matter, but collectively “this is what we have decided to do as a Parliament.
Parliament represents the people and not a single one of them said no to the Bill," he said, adding that although it was overwhelmingly passed, people still had the right to their opinion.
He said the council would continue to educate those involved in the practice so they mended their ways since the council considered the practice a sin.
"The Christian position is that it's a sin, but we still love the sinner; we don't hate anyone and we would not encourage anyone to infringe on their human rights.
They campaigned for the bill.

Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill
The Parliament of Ghana has begun proceedings on the Bill for the Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values. As a Council we have been one of the key advocates for the promotion of human dignity, which the bill seeks to affirm in our country.
The Christian Council of Ghana is part of the coalition that tabled the bill in Parliament and we urge all member churches to pray for Grace and Boldness for our Parliamentarians to pass the bill without fear. The Council believes that if our dear nation entertains the gay movement and gives them the opportunities they seek, our family bonds and social fabric will be completely destroyed.
We need to stand up against any movement that perpetrates unbiblical, unethical and abominable deeds. We seek your prayer support for the President and Parliamentarians in these times.

The Christian Council of Ghana has had an ongoing campaign against Gays. They show what Christians do when not restrained by public opinion, their desire to dominate surfaces.
Christian Council of Ghana, Feb. 23, 2024, “For Immediate Release:CCG Statement On LGBTQI.”
They say this though homophobic laws come with the British. Their religions come from the slavers and the imperialists. There were no Baptists or Methodists in Africa before the slave ships came.
Homosexuality and Ghanaian family values
All the ethnic groups that come together to form the nation Ghana frown on homosexual unions and relations. In Ghana, marriage is between a man and a woman and not between same sex individuals. The Ghanaian people cannot discard our unique family value system for the so-called human rights of a few. It is important to protect our family values, which is the foundation of our nation. Homosexual unions therefore do not have a place in our Ghanaian family value system.
We, the CCG therefore call on all Ghanaians to reject the lie being perpetrated by a few that homosexuality is a human right and should be incorporated in the family system of our country. Let us protect the good family system that we have inherited from our forebears.

2. Comprehensive Sexuality Education
Sex education has always featured in the curricula of Ghanaian education. We the CCG therefore welcome any education that seeks to help our children attain healthy sexual reproductive lives. However, we seek to reiterate our earlier position on the Comprehensive Sexuality Education and reject any attempt to introduce them into the syllabus of our primary schools as they have underneath them a subtle agenda to introduce gay and lesbian rights into our nation. As we indicated in times past, our cultural norms and religious values as a nation do not support LGBTQ rights and we reject them in all their subtle forms.

Feb. 23, 2020, “CHRISTIAN COUNCIL OF GHANA (CCG) STATEMENT ON RECENT LGBTQI ACTIVITIES IN GHANA.”
Like in Korea, Christians seek to dominate and eliminate dissent.
The Christian Council of Ghana has followed with concern and keen interest, the recent developments in the country regarding the supposed rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex (LGBTQI) individuals and the office space that the perpetrators of this act have established.
As a Christian majority nation, the CCG has a mandate to espouse the position of the Christian faith on homosexuality to all citizens. We therefore deem it appropriate to explain briefly, the Bible position on marriage, homosexuality and the family values that we the people of Ghana uphold.

Christian Council of Ghana, “COMMUNIQUE, ISSUED BY THE CHRISTIAN COUNCIL OF GHANA (CCG) AND THE GHANA CATHOLIC BISHOPS’CONFERENCE (GCBC)ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 16, 2018.”
Notice that the Roman Catholics are part of this. While in America all sorts of things are said, in Ghana they have another face.
LGBT Rights in Ghana
We have observed, in the past months, that there have been strong calls and pressure by some international lobbyists on Ghana to consider the legalization of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) rights as well as same sex marriages and relationships. We commend the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Honourable Prof. Mike Ocquaye for his stance against the legalization of LGBT rights in Ghana. We call on Government never to be cowed down nor succumb to the pressure to legalize such rights.
As Christians, who uphold the Bible as our principal guide, we consider same sex unions as unacceptable unions that our God frowns upon (cf. Leviticus 20:13-16). In addition, we state unequivocally that same sex unions are alien to the Ghanaian culture and cannot be tolerated or accepted. Our cultural values uphold the family system as an integral part of the survival of communities and the nation at large. Therefore, we shall not and cannot accept the orientation towards same sex unions and relationships as a fundamental human right.
We, the members of the Christian Council of Ghana and the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference, state that we shall resist any attempt, either latent or manifest, by any individual, Political Party, Civil Society, Human Rights’ Activist or Government to legalize LGBT rights in Ghana.
We are however willing and available to provide the needed pastoral care and support to persons with LGBT tendencies in a non-condemning manner. We pledge to treat such persons with unconditional positive regard at all times.

Conclusions
We see the faces of these four American religous groups when not restrained by public opinion or custom.
The African Methodist Episcopal Church, African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, Christian Methodist Church and The Salvation Army might have a happy face in America, but they have another face in Ghana.
I am sure they have excuses and some of the excuses might be involved.
