TX Latino Pride is being targeted. The homophobes of Dallas have started preparations.
Though some LGBT leaders dismissed the threat last year, the effort to bring down the TX Latino Pride event has started.

Effort getting started to remove Travis Co. District Attorney Jose’ Garza.
This is an article titled “Removal Petition Filed Against TX DA,” in the Dallas Express reporting on an effort to have Travis Co. District Attorney Jose’ Garza removed from office for supposed incompetence.

Under a new Texas law, a private person, anyone with a grievance, can file a petition for the removal of a District Attorney for dereliction of duty.

Matt Mackowiak, co-founder of Save Austin Now, quoted in his X (formerly Twitter) support of the removal effort.

If you can’t win elections, you just have local government nullified seems to be the plan. Cities become internal colonies. This is a little simplistic, but it seems to be attacking the whole point of having local District Attorneys.
The Dallas Express after discussing the efforts to remove Travis County District Attorney Jose’ Garza concludes the article by going on at length as to why Dallas DA John Creuzot should be removed.
[Incidently, John Creuzot hasn’t responded to our inquiry about the 2010 Dallas Bath house raid. Link at end of this article.]
The Dallas Express has been a supporter of this law, in this April 2023 article, “Bill to Remove ‘Rogue’ DAs Passes Senate,” which mentions Creuzot as an example who might be removed.

The Dallas Express as wanted to remove DA Creuzot because of his police towards abortion also.

What does this have to do with the TX Latino Pride Event?
This Oct. 1, 2023 Dallas Express article, “Creuzot Mum on All-Ages Pride Event Promoted by County,” states that his refusing to prosecute the TX Latino Pride Event organizers might result in his removal. From the article.
Creuzot has previously received criticism for selectively adopting non-prosecution policies. For example, he previously announced a non-prosecution policy for thefts between $100 and $750. However, following pushback from law enforcement and community members, Creuzot reversed course.
Similarly, Creuzot adopted a non-prosecution policy pertaining to abortion. To date, he has not publicly announced an end to the policy, meaning he could possibly face removal from office due to a new Texas law, as reported by The Dallas Express.

When DA John Creuzot and the City of Dallas ignored Texas Rep. Matt Shaheens demands for criminal prosecution, the Dallas Express then ran another article about Shaheens demands that Creuzot take action.

With all the anti-LGBT institutions in Dallas County, I am sure that one resident can be found to file a petition and it will go before a judge. Whether a judge would remove Creuzot from office is another thing.
The Dallas Express in reporting on the court case to remove Travis Co. DA Jose’ Garcia is clearly trying to promote getting Dallas DA Creuzot removed and hopes that the start of a campaign in Travis county will inspire a campaign against DA Creuzot. With Creuzot removed they hope they can target all Dallas Pride events.
Perhaps with Creuzot removed they can target all LGBT things.
Commentary
The so-called leadership of the LGBT in Dallas are somewhat constrained to dismiss the reality of threats and to deny the homophobia of Dallas. It things in Dallas are not good, what does it say about their leadership and politics?
Also, the continuing LGBT leadership’s policy of not supporting a human rights commission and not having a real ordinance against discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation would come into question.
So there is constant happy talk from the so-called LGBT leadership about the situation in Dallas. Their mentality is that as long as they can assimilate and shop, what is the worry?
