WARNING DISTRICT 3 CANDIDATE FROM ANTI-GAY CHURCH
In the upcoming elections it is important that Gay people take action to prevent anti-Gay candidates from getting elected. These are the actions you can take:
1. Don’t vote for the anti-Gay candidate and vote for one of their opponents in the election.
2. Support their political opponents as either campaign volunteers, donations, on your social media, and with campaign signs.
3. Alert the LGBT+ that this person is an opponent of the Gay community and the other LGBT+ communities.
4. Don’t make excuses for the anti-Gay candidate. This happens all too often.

Who is Zarin David Gracey?
The Dallas Morning News (DMN) in their article (link above) states that he is, “former assistant director of Dallas’ economic development office and former board member of the Dallas Public Facility Corporation. First-time council candidate.”
What it doesn’t tell you is that he is an elder at Concord Church in Dallas.

Also, at his LinkedIn page you find out that he is the Executive Pastor of Concord Church in Dallas.

Zarin D. Gracey has a Twitter account https://twitter.com/ZDGracey
At his twitter account Gracey states, “Husband and Loyal Friend. Through service to my church and my City, I desire to boldly reflect Christ through out the City of Dallas.”
It is important that the Gay community and the LGBT+ communities know it means when he states, “I desire to boldly reflect Christ throughout the City of Dallas.”
There is this statement was on twitter, but it doesn’t really state what he feels about it, maybe he feels it is a bad thing, maybe he doesn’t, but he doesn’t make it clear either. Perhaps he is acting in his role with the City of Dallas with economic development.
Zarin D. Gracey is the Executive Pastor of Concord Church in Dallas and in reviewing the views regarding homosexuality we might get an insight what Gracey’s policies towards Gays and the LGBT might be.
First, the links to the online presence of Concord Church in Dallas and their Senior Pastor Bryan L. Carter.

Bryan L. Carter and Concord Church stand on Gays
The author is unable to find any opinion about Gays or LGBT on their websites and media. The local face of Pastor Carter and Concord church shows no trace of homophobia.
However, we look further some important discoveries are made.
Pastor Carter won’t marry same-sex couples.
It is about his church offering free weddings to couples living together. Pastor Carter won’t marry same-sex couples.
To date, no same-sex couples have volunteered for the challenge. If they did, Mr. Carter said, he would refer them to a different church to be married. Though Concord welcomes the L.G.B.T.Q. community, he said, “our church believes in more traditional model of marriage.”
This is one reason some religious leaders are not so enthusiastic about Mr. Carter’s program. “Research bears the pastor out that stable marriages do support better mental health and stability in children,” said Janne Eller-Isaacs, a senior co-pastor at Unity Church-Unitarian in St. Paul, Minn. “My bias is that I don’t want to be promoting an old-style, patriarchal marriage. As someone who has married lesbians, gays and transgendered folks, making the ritual of marriage available to all people is extremely important to me.”
Also, he isn’t upfront about his attitudes. When he says his church “welcomes the L.G.B.T.Q. community” is likely as sinners to be saved.
“Here We Stand: An Evangelical Declaration on Marriage”
Not happy that Gays can get married. This was a coalition “assembled by the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission” which issued a statement signed by 100 religious leaders including Pastor Bryan Carter of Concord Church.
“The Nashville Statement Is Anti-LGBTQ Christian Bigotry Written in Stone.”
Article written by Hemant Mehta.
On of the signers is Senior Pastor Bryant Carter of Concord Church.
This is the statement.

“Texas: ‘Gay rights,’ civil rights not the same, black leaders say.”
This article makes it much clearer why Bryant Carter would not be marrying Gays.
Six pastors spoke at the rally and Bryan Carter of then Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas was one of the speakers. From the article:
Carter finished by proclaiming that homosexuality is a sin. But, he said, it isn’t the only sin. He said Christians are not immune to sin. And because of that, Christians need to be careful in how they approach the homosexual community and others who favor of same-sex “marriage.”
“We have to open our arms of restoration,” Carter said. “Our churches need to be a place where we point the sin out, but we also give the people a chance to be restored. It ought to be a place where we despise the sin but we love the sinner.”

Some titles you will find on their page:

Evidently Alan Chambers talks about “his deliverance from homosexuality.”

Conclusion
Zarin D. Gracey is the executive pastor a church whose head, Senior Pastor Bryan L. Carter, is nationally prominent in campaigning against Gay rights and the rights of the rest of the LGBT+ community.
When Gracy states, “I desire to boldly reflect Christ throughout the City of Dallas.” We should be very concerned.
We have seen the ongoing use of persons from homophobic churches being used to give invocations. I think as investigation proceeds we will see that there is a thin rainbow veneer on a dark homophobic city. (Link to reporting on this at end of post.)
No doubt there will be copious sugary explanations to attempt to rationalize away our concerns and possibly the local LGBT+ establishment will more than willing to accept them, but we shouldn’t. (I will have a link to where Dallas LGBT religious leaders praised and made excuses for rabid homophone W.A. Criswell at the end of this post.)

This is an ongoing issue.
Criswell said AIDS was gods punishment for “sodomy” and yet local Dallas Gay religious leaders praise him and make excuses for him in the Dallas Voice.
