A Dallas Community that defends itself. Not the LGBTQXYZ+ community. An example to adapt for our use. Part 3 of 3.
This happened in 2015 in the South Dallas neighborhood where an armed right-wing group came into the center of an African American neighorhood to protest with guns a Nation of Islam mosque.
Subscriptions are free.
This is an example in our own City of Dallas where a community defended itself.
We are going to have to do something better than say “Oh my” or wet our pants.
Part 1 and 2 backstory
An example to learn from, not an endorsement of any organization.
This is about learning how a fighting spirit and effective tactics can defend a community from aggression.
What happened
Dallas Morning News, Apr. 2, 2016, “Armed clash over black mosque riggers anger in South Dallas.”
A group called Bureau of American Islamic Relations, BAIR, a riff on CAIR, Council on American-Islamic Relations, had been protesting the Islamic Cener of Irving multiple times. they were on some sort of campaign against Sharia Law which isn’t a remote possibility here in Texas. They got the idea to go after the Nation of Islam mosque in South Dallas, (Which isn’t the South part of Dallas, but that is another story.)
It is somewhat a ridiculous thing to do, since the Nation of Islam is sort of isolated from the rest of the Islamic community, racial seperatists, and never would be interested in Sharia law applied to white people, and are basically a home grown insular Islamic group that has been in the United Saes since 1930.
They are homophobic as any group might be, and they have really unusual beliefs. But protesting them turned out to be a bad idea for BAIR. There was a response from the local community.
A few hundred South Dallas residents, mostly black, flooded Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to oppose a planned demonstration by a mostly white group that routinely protests outside mosques.
Both sides were armed.
BAIR ended up leaving.
"It's a people's victory here in South Dallas today," said Yafeuh Balogun of the Huey P. Newton Gun Club, named for the founder of the original Black Panther Party.
The original Black Panthers didn’t consider the New Black Panthers legitimate.
I know Yafeuh Balogun. When they need historical research, I do that work supporting projects. He is a family man and dotes upon his kids. He himself isn’t homophobic. His father was a member of the Nation of Islam, but he isn’t.
I talked to Yafeuh Balogun and others about what happened. Several groups showed up, but they told me something very interesting. People who weren’t with any group, just went home to get their gun and showed up.
These activists have guns. Some are organized for self-defense and do serious training. Some of them are ex-military. They are serious. They aren’t cos-playing being some defense group.
Also, they weren’t necessarily supporters of the Nation of Islam or Muslims, in fact most weren’t. When the community was under attack they stood united.
Story continued after videos.
Start at 0:35 for Yafeuh Balogan.
The Dallas Morning News was upset since it could have been a serious racial incident.
Dallas Morning News, April 4, 2016, “Gun-wielding anti-mosque protestors seem determined to provoke disaster.”
Dallas Morning News, April 4, 2016 had his editorial, “Editorial: Texas anti-Islamic group was beyond reckless to bring arms to mosque protest.”
What would our Gay community likely do if an armed group showed up in the Gayborhood?
Nothing or wet their pants.
We saw what the Pride Parade people did in Auckland — nothing. There is ever reason to expect another attack on pride events there.
There would be those telling us to “Fight hate with love,” and disuade us from any real resistance by telling us, “Don’t fight hate with hate,” as if self-defense is hateful, as if we don’t have a right to be angry at those who abuse us.
Homophobic groups regularly show up in Dallas on the strip without a care since they know the Gay community has no fight.
We do have antifa here in the Dallas area and they have been present as a defense at some of the protests that were attacking the Gay community, but they have disappeared. One of the members used tear gas on an opponent when something was said, and that gave the police the go ahead to arrest her and then civil and criminal courts to go after the group. They were not in Dallas at the time and in a jurisdiction which would be glad to go after them.
The African American groups had self-discipline, they weren’t going to be verbally baited into doing something which would get themselves in trouble and it was in the center of their own neighborhood. They thought strategically.
If at the next Pride event there was some group blocking the parade, likely there would be no response, and there would be no response that would convince the police to act quickly to deal with homophobic disruptors.
The Gay Christians would want to do their fight hate with love thing and discuss the Bible.
Some Gays would have a theatrical response of alarm.
How many Gays even own a gun?
When a group is protesting a Pride event, our local activists are always calming down Gays who do get angry as part of their deescalation, because they are afraid of what might happen. The focus is to pacify the Gay community.
When a homophobic group shows up at a Gay event is the Dallas Morning News ever worried that there might be a disaster? NOT AT ALL. They know the local leadership is obsessed with begging for approval. They know the local Gay community has no fight in it. When the police raided the Dallas Bath house and arrested 11 men in 2010, there were no protests. The police raid was undertaken since the police knew the Dallas LGBTQXYZ+ had no fight in it.
Gays who are militant in Dallas are considered troublemakers.
Yet when BAIR was in South Dallas, the Dallas Morning News was seriously worried. They know that community has fight in it.
We need to have some fight in us.
We need to be armed.
We need to be disciplined.
We need to be organized.
We need to learn what tactics will successfully defend our community.
Burbling or gurgling sentimental stuff isn’t going to keep us safe.

Breitbart News had this video. In my opinion the leader was just looking for another mosque to have something to do.
