Christian Post and Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson
Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson is interviewed by the Christian Post (3/4/2024) and discusses how his Christian faith led him to switch political parties. The article is titled, “Dallas mayor says Christian faith played role in party switch,”
The Christian Post is a publication dedicated to the demolition of the rights of the LGBT. Here are some recent posts.
This is a very recent article, “6 lies from the pit of Hell,” by Dan Delzell, 3/5/2024.

This is the fifth item listed.
5. Fornication and homosexual behavior are not offensive to God
Sexual sin hardens man’s heart toward God like almost no other sin. Those who think sexual sin is not offensive to God are blind to the truth. In terms of numbers, there are far more people who engage in fornication than in homosexual behavior.
God’s Word declares: “Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral” (Hebrews 13:4). “All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body” (1 Corinthians 6:18). “Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them” (Romans 1:32).
This is another article, “NFL hosts LGBT pride night ahead of Super Bowl; over 40K sign petition opposing event.” 2/8/2024.
https://www.christianpost.com/news/nfl-hosts-lgbt-pride-night-ahead-of-super-bowl-lviii.html
It is an article about an anti-LGBT project of an ultra-reactionary Catholic group.
The petition was spearheaded by Return to Order, a project of the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property, which describes itself as "an organization of lay Catholic Americans concerned about the moral crisis shaking the remnants of Christian civilization."
While "A Night of Pride with GLAAD" has come and gone, the petition accumulated 44,000 signatures as of Thursday afternoon.
Addressed to the NFL, the letter accompanying the petition condemns pride night as "a terrible sin of scandal" that "normalizes homosexuality" and "celebrates unnatural vice as normal and acceptable." It warned that "the social acceptance of this vice threatens the moral foundations of America" and constituted a "serious offense against God and His Law."
“John Piper: Christians Must ‘Preserve the Stigma’ of Sexual Sins, Like Sodomy,” 8/2/2016. It is about a pastor who wants to continue using the term Sodomy in reference to homosexuality.
Using words like "sodomy" in the present culture might seem unnecessary to some, but Piper argues that refusing to do so constitutes an abdication of truth and love, which ultimately destigmatizes something that should never be regarded as good. …
"Those who love people with same-sex attraction should want to preserve the stigma of shameful practices which destroy them — just as we should try to preserve the stigma of stealing and perjury and kidnapping and fornication and adultery," Piper said, adding that "it is a gracious thing when a culture puts signs in front of destructive behaviors that read: Don't go there; it is shameful."
Upset with Supreme Court decisions which legalized homosexual sex and gave us same sex marriage.

This article, “The politically incorrect Jesus,” talks about condemning “sodomy,” as an act of love.
https://www.christianpost.com/voices/the-politically-incorrect-jesus.html
We speak out, not to condemn people but to do just the opposite: to love people. For instance, sodomy harms people and the society that condones it. Sodomy hurts, physically, biologically, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually. Anyone who genuinely seeks to truly love does what they can – and usually all we can do is speak out – to discourage or stop the promotion and/or enabling of sodomy. That's just one example.

These are Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson’s new friends.
It tends to explain why he was selecting homophobes for invocation speakers in the past. It wasn’t a mistake.
I think we need to keep our eyes open regarding Mayor Johnson.
We need to realize what situation we are in living in Dallas.
Maybe we need to think seriously about how we defend our community.
