In liberal Seattle, bars raided over the weekend. It can happen here in Dallas. They are mobilzing, Dallas is in denial.
My concern that the Dallas police force which conducted a raid in 2010, has been met with a dismissive attitude. I think that we need to take the potential of a raid seriously.

Over the weekend Gay bars in Seattle were subjected to a raid.
From the following article, “‘Lewd conduct’ — Capitol Hill gay bars and clubs band together to push back on liquor board inspections.” Capitol Hill Seattle Blog. Capitol Hill is a neighborhood in Seattle where there are Gay places.
A group of Capitol Hill gay bars and clubs are teaming up with neighborhood queer community leaders Dan Savage and Terry Miller in calling for the state’s liquor control board and Seattle Police officials to explain what they say was a weekend crackdown reminiscent of historical harassment of Seattle’s LGBTQ friendly venues.
The Seattle community evidently has some type of fighting spirit. I think that if it happened here, the so-called leadership would lecture Gay people about their behavior instead.
The local alternative press, theStranger, had an article about it also. The article is, “Police, Fire, and the Liquor Board Raided Two Seattle Gay Bars: What Year Is It Again?”
One of the citations was for a bartender who had a nipple showing. One thing there is that the Seattle Gays have a fighting spirit.
The story made it to the Pink News in Britain. What is interesting is that this is being reported in Britan, but is yet to be reported on, if it is every reported on, by the Dallas Voice.

Also, a Dan Savage is involved with mobilizing.
Could a raid happen in Dallas. Dismissive and brush off treatment to this question.
I have been researching the raid on The Club baths in 2010. It happened and once charges were dismissed, the leadership here forgot all about it.
I have been doing research into it, but I get this dismissive attitude about it possibly happening again.
When The Club was raided in 2010, it was something out of the 1980s happening in 2010. That alone should have told us something is really wrong with Dallas and it should have driven a serious inquiry.
If a raid in liberal Seattle can happen in 2024, it certainly can happen in reactionary Dallas.
Dallas mayor Eric Johnson voted for Donald Trump in the Texas Primary and gave an interview to a rabidly homophobic newspaper, the Christian Post.
When Republican Texas House Rep. Matt Shaheen asked for criminal investigations of the Texas Latino Pride event, there was a dismissive attitude that the Dallas Gay community could be at risk.
I think we need a fighting Gay movement in Dallas.
The following are posts about Rep. Matt Shaheen calling for a criminal investigation.
The following are previous posts on the 2010 Raid.
Got a nothing response from the liaison.
We need to take the possibility of a raid seriously.
