Josiah Anthony fired by Cross Timbers Church which refers people to homophobic Biblical 'counseling' groups. Updates 1,2
In investigating Josiah Anthony's termination, I stumbled across a subsurface homophobic network of counselors.

Josiah Anthony terminated for “emotional affairs” or something, by Cross Timbers church in Argyle, Texas
After awhile more specific reasons were given. Text reports follow this video.
First it was for “emotional affairs” but they weren’t “physical or sexual” in Dallas Morning News article, “North Texas pastor resigned after ‘emotional affairs’ with female staff members,” Aug. 1, 2024.
Then it becames a little more known what might have happened in Dallas Morning News article, “‘Deeply sorry’: North Texas church apologizes to women affected by pastor’s behavior,” Aug. 6, 2024.
An organization, Watchkeep, which has set for itself the hopeless task of eliminating sexual predators from Evangelical Churches had a more indepth report not behind a paywall and critical of Cross Timbers Church.

These scandals are in homophobic churches, so it is a great victory for the LGBT when these churches bring themselves down. However, I was having difficulty in tracking down the homophobia of Josiah Anthony or Cross Timbers Church. (Not to be confused with Cross Timbers Church of Christ which is opening homophobic.)
I kept digging, there was nothing I could find on the Cross Timbers church. They are non-denominational so there is no denominational documentation. I couldn’t find anything that Josiah Anthony had done.
Then I checked the counseling services they recommended. After all I am looking for churches supporting so-called “conversion” therapy. In their “Healing Place,” is their directory of services recommended.

I wasn’t finding anything with these services, and surely some looked like they would be homophobic, but I wasn’t finding anything. However, when I came across one service they recommened. Truth Renewed Ministries in Keller, Texas.
I was unable to find any homophobic statements, but when I checked out a page of their beliefs.

The Biblical Counseling Coalition is seriously homophobic. They are national in scope and a serious danger to the LGBT. They are the third network of homophobic counselors/psychologists we have discovered.
Another service recommened by Cross Timbers Church is Covenant Biblical Counseling which at this webpage is a notice that they are in agreement with the Biblical Counseling Coaltion. They have a Flower Mound, South Denton, and Corinth, Texas locations.

Further, Adam Sandlin, a counseler at Covenant Biblical Counseling is “honored” to have an article at the Biblical Counseling Coaltion.

There may be more services recommended by Cross Timbers Church that are connected to Biblical Counseling Coalition, I didn’t do an exhaustive search.
Also, there might be other organizations which are homophobic and which other counseling serivces recommended by Cross Timbers Church are involved or tied to in some way. The world of homophobic counselors and psychologists is still being investigated and not all the homophobic players are identitied.
However, it is valid to conclude that the problems at Cross Timbers Church are good for the LGBT since they are bringing down an enemy.
We learn that homophobia can be very stealth. This is part of the New Homophobia.
Another learning is that if the church seems likely to be homophobic, it is likely that it is. Be very wary before going to any church.
