Dallas Morning News aids and abets conversion therapy church, Watermark.
This combined with their misleading article on "He Gets Us" shows the real character of the Dallas Morning News.

Earlier Dallas Gay Liberation reported on a conversion therapy network by Watermark Church that is national in scope.

Watermark has been asking for zoning variances in South Dallas for their center.
There have been some doubt raised about exactly how their purposed center is supposed to benefit the South Dallas neighborhood.
I wrote to all the members of the Dallas City Council with documentation about their homophobia and not to grant them any favors.
The following is a write up on their homophobia. I hadn’t discovered that they run this conversion “therapy” network. Click on the image.
Dallas Morning News comes to the assistance of Watermark Church in South Dallas.
So this morning there was this article written by the Elders of Watermark Church, Todd Anders, Timothy Ateek, Ben Caldwell, Mickey Friedrich, Blake Holmes and Rob Thomas, in the opinion section of the Dallas Morning News.
It is titled and subtitled, “Here’s what’s happening on the old Pearl C. Anderson property: Five years after buying South Dallas building, Watermark elders say thanks.”
The post is all about the supposed good deeds they have done with their center in South Dallas. It is obvious that it is about supporting Watermark getting the zoning ordinances they were denied earlier.
This is stated in the article.:
Beyond church services, our goal has been to use the space to meet the needs of the surrounding community through providing meeting spaces for Young Life, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and other organizations.
As part of this article, I will be having sections on them.
The Dallas Morning News is aiding and abetting a church which is at the head of a vast conversion therapy network.
This church is a serious danger to the LGBT.
Timothy Ateek, co-author of the DMN article wrote this article which compares homosexuality to beastiality.

This is about Christ leading people from what they think is sin, including homosexuality.
This is an overwhelmingly beautiful display of the grace of God. What is grace? It is unearned, undeserved favor. We, as followers of Jesus Christ, have the privilege and the joy of telling people they have not out-sinned the grace of God. My hope is God gives us opportunities to engage with people who will respond to the gospel and say, "Yeah, but I've lied. But I've cheated. But I've abandoned my spouse and my kids. I'm an alcoholic. I'm a drug addict. I've lived a homosexual lifestyle. I've had an abortion. I've taken someone's life."

Blake Holmes has a page, “Uncompromised Resources”
https://www.watermark.org/blog/uncompromised-resources
There is a link to this series of Sermons.
https://www.watermark.org/message/8653-uncompromised-truth-culture
One of these lectures is “Uncompromised Sexuality: Gender, Sex, and Porn.”
Under, “Key Takeaways,” is, “The goal is not heterosexuality; the goal is Christ.” This is about suppression of being Gay.

There are these other resources given on his page.
The article says they provide meeting spaces for Young Life.
Like many homophobic groups, it appears they like to say things that might be understood that they accept Gays, but they don’t.
Last month, that council — whose members were never publicized — sent out a confidential document to top staff, clarifying for the first time in detail Young Life’s “sexual conduct policy.” The document, which was not publicly released but has been reviewed by The Denver Post, says “same-sex attracted, celibate people can be considered as candidates for staff and volunteer leadership.”
But the organization goes on to say that leaders “pursuing same-sex romantic relationships is out of alignment with the spirit of the Sexual Conduct Policy” and calls homosexuality “an example of the distortion that results from humanity’s rejection of God.”
The article then goes on to describe a lot of wiffle waffling on Young Life’s part.

It led to the creation of this Facebook page.

Other articles about their homophobia.
https://www.businessinsider.com/young-life-flourishes-amid-gay-ban-sexual-misconduct-claims-2021-10
This is an article which says they lure in LGBT, not being upfront about their ideology, and then they kick them out.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes
There anti-LGBT policies are in the news and in court cases.
“Fellowship of Christian Atheletes targets the LGBTQ community with statement of faith.”

From Watermark Health to conversion therapy by links.
Watermark Health is mentioned in this article. Digging you come to conversion therapy.
https://www.watermarkhealth.org/
However, a little digging finds out what this Watermark Health is about.
Clicking on “About Us,” and then “Services” in the drop down menu, gets us to this page.
https://www.watermarkurgentcare.com/
Then click on “Holistic Services.”
https://www.watermarkurgentcare.com/resources
Under the “Ministry Resources” click on “Near Our Skillman Clinic.” There you are, at Watermark Church and their ministries.
https://www.watermark.org/ministries/lifestage
At the bottom of the page there is a listing of MINISTRIES, and in that list is “Care and Recovery.”
https://www.watermark.org/ministries/care
And at that page you will find “re:generation,” “Recovery in Christ,” which we have reported on. The introduction at that webpage.
12-Step Christ-Centered Recovery
Find freedom from all struggles, including: anxiety/depression, pornography, fear, control, substance abuse, codependency, sexual abuse, same-sex attraction, eating disorders/body image, anger, obsessive thoughts, and any other struggle that has you stuck.

If in South Dallas the Watermark Health people discovered a patient was LGBT, it is likely they would direct the patient to the regeneration page without the person having to go through the links.
Dallas Morning News aids and abets this great danger to the LGBT.
Earlier the Dallas Morning News did a misleading report which obscured another major danger to the LGBT. It was about the “He Gets Us” campaign.
Earlier there was this report about their stealth reporting.
The Dallas Morning News has obscured or omitted homophobia so often, I have a directory post of all the posts reviewing their ommissions.
The Dallas Morning News reporting on the recent fire at the 1st Baptist has no concern about homophobia. Maybe a post will be done later.
We need to realize that the Dallas Morning News is a serious danger, and worse than the Dallas Express, since the Dallas Morning News is more covert and sly, with major readership, whereas the Dallas Express is direct and has a small readership.
It will be interesting to see if the appointees of Chad West and Omar Narvaez vote for the rezoning when it comes up again before their committee.
Launched campaign to have the City of Dallas and Dallas County each ban conversion practices. This post has information resources and link to the petition.
thanks for the update!!!
