Dallas Voice, Respectability Gays stab Daddyland in the back. The hating on circuit Gays. AKA sorority is the culprit. Update 1,2,3 and more.
Dallas isn't a safe place for Gays. If you are a victim, the LGBT establishment will try to find ways of blaming you. It really is an LgBTQ+ establishment.

Dallas is getting a reputation.
Update: Crowne Plaza’s story changes.
https://www.dallasobserver.com/arts/dallas-hotel-kicks-out-hundreds-of-gay-men-19819127
According to the owner of the hotel, Terry Tognazzini, members of the Daddyland party were contractually obligated to follow a dress code in the hotel's public areas. In the private areas, the rules were more lax.
“Our rules say that they follow dress codes,” says Tognazzini. “[And] they came in here and they kind of went wild, so we threw them all out.”
“Went wild.” Yet in the Advocate article, rumors of incidents are denied by Tognazzini.
This is the story. Daddyland attendees were given about an hour to leave Crown Plaza Hotel in Dallas.
The following article in The Advocate gives a good account of what happened.

From the above article.
The eviction was prompted by complaints by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority members, who were also in town for their biennial national convention, according to the hotel owner.
U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to speak to them this Wednesday.
Below is a WFAA report on Harris speaking at the AKa convention.
This is the webpage of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority of which Vice President Kamala Harris is a member.
The slanderous rumors were not true as confirmed by the hotel owner, Tognazzini.
Dispelling rumors
Among the rumors that swirled around the incident were accusations that attendees had been found nude and unconscious in the lobby, that some flashed other hotel guests in an elevator, or that syringes with the erectile dysfunction medication Trimix were discovered in a designated “boom boom room," where attendees could have sex. Tognazzini and Daddyland staff firmly denied these rumors. Tognazzini confirmed that no such incidents had occurred and that the decision to evict the attendees was based on complaints about their attire.
The anonymous Daddyland staff member echoed this, noting that reports of a dark “boom boom room” were untrue, though some attendees dispute this claim. They also highlighted that off-duty Dallas police officers were staffing the event, and no police reports were made.
Don’t come back
Tognazzini said the incident cost the hotel between $60,000 and $70,000. He said the hotel had previously hosted Daddyland without issues and insisted that his actions were not rooted in homophobia. “My son is gay, and I’ve been to a lot of gay parties. We have a lot of gay people here, and we are in favor of the LGBTQ+ community,” he said. He added, “I’m a liberal. Everyone is welcome here.” He said that the incident could have been avoided had the promoter bought out the entire hotel. Despite this, he clarified that he would no longer work with Daddyland’s promoter due to the recent events. “The last time they were perfect. This time, it went to hell,” he added, emphasizing that the promoter’s handling of the event was a significant factor in the decision.
Tognazzini also addressed rumors of nonpayment, saying that the promoter had paid all the bills. “The promoter put people in here, screwed us all up. We talked to him, he couldn’t do anything, so we threw ’em all out,” Tognazzini said. “It happens.” [Boldface added.]
We know where Gays are in the pecking order of rights at Crowne Plaza and with the Democratic Party.
The Advocate has posted this article as to what Daddyland is.

Dallas Voice report on Daddyland eviction gives credibility to claims that it was justifiable over behavior.
The byline for this article is Tammye Nash.
The original article posted by the Dallas Voice was this one. Give the Internet Archive a minute to load.
The article was updated with a slanderous claim that Daddyland had been evicted over its advertising.
Shortly after noon on Sunday, a former DaddyLand employee, Jason Martinez, told Dallas Voice that problems between the event producer and the host hotel started long before Saturday night, July 7, when the owner of the Crowne Plaza cancelled DaddyLand events scheduled at the hotel and demanded that everyone there for DaddyLand leave the hotel, including those who had booked rooms.
Martinez, who said he “worked on the DaddyLand event up until a month ago when I quit,” said he had been contacted by the sales manager at the hotel who “told me corporate was receiving several complaints regarding the boom boom room, or dark room, and that Ersin needed to remove all wording regarding that” from advertisements and other promotional materials.
However, Martinez said that the event promoter “disappeared for about three weeks, not returning any of my calls, and when I finally saw him at the pride event, he acted like nothing was wrong, and that there was no situation with corporate.”
Martinez shared with Dallas Voice screen caps of his messages to Winokur, including telling the promoter “Hey, your phone is not working,” and showing failed efforts to connect with him through audio calls via WhatsApp. Other screen caps show a string of messages from Martinez to Winokur saying the hotel’s sales manager had called again about promotional materials including the boom boom room, telling the promoter that “costume designers are on hold waiting for answers” and that DJs were “messaging asking questions.”
None of the screen caps show any replies from Winokur. [Bold face added.]
Why Tammye Nash would think that this was credible enought to mention is unfathomable.
There is one obvious reasons why a competent reporter would question this.
Jason Martinez is a former employee. Former employees are known to sometimes be disgruntled.
Some other questions are raised. Businesses have conflicts and they have negotiations. When the deal to book Daddyland at Crowne Plaza was done, it was very clear what Daddyland was, but perhaps due to a failure to do due diligance, or second thoughts, Crowne Plaza was trying to push Daddyland to restrict Daddyland’s use of the space that they had already agreed to rent to them. .
A straight business was trying to apply pressure on a Gay business.
Daddyland, if these screen captures are not fake, might be using a negotiating tactic of not getting drawn into discussing it. Daddyland had a contract and they might be negotiating with Crowne Plaza pressure by not responding. If they didn’t respond to Jason Martinez’s texts, so what? Also, it is not clear to me whether at the time of these screen captures whether Martinez was still an employee of Daddyland. If he wasn’t why was he involved at all.
Daddyland is fighting to provide services for his Gay clientele, and it seems a lot of Dallas Gays thought that fighting for his Gay clientele is somehow a crime.
Screen captures of supposed texts by a former employee is hardly the evidence you need to discredit someone. It could be that Winokur had a policy of ignoring this particular individual given this person’s past behavior.
As of July 9, 2024, 3:35 pm the Dallas Voice hasn’t issued a retraction or apologized. This is despite the report by The Advocate, a nationally known publication.
Due diligence and behavior and coping.
The actual reason for the expulsion appears to be that the AKA sorority members complained. However, another reason has been put out there by Crowne Plaza that some issues with the event weren’t acceptable.
For purposes of argument, I wish to point out that this appears to be just excuse making and isn’t justifiable. Also, again, it doesn’t justify a mass expulsion.
Crowne Plaza booked the business. Is their poor due diligence a justification for mass expulsion?
Surely Crowne Plaza knew who they were booking. They booked Daddyland and then they started to deny space for Daddyland activities after the booking.
This is like booking a dog show and then after the booking telling the dog show promoters that dogs aren’t allowed. Or a flower show and saying that due to allergy concerns no flowers allowed.
What Daddyland is, can easily be seen in their promotions for multiple cities.
This isn’t the first time the Dallas Voice has chosen to evade issues that they might find embarrassing.
The reporting on the 2010 Bath House police raid stopped once the eleven arrested were released. It never was front page news or even in the table of contents. Then in recounts of Dallas History, the raid doesn’t exist. The Dallas Bathhouse Raid went into an Orewllian memory hole.
This is a serious human rights violation.
Daddyland said there was closer to 300 persons evicted with two hours notice and many of the persons who had rented rooms weren’t even at the hotel when the evictions were handed out.
Somehow people, in a strange city, during a 4th of July weekend, where many visitors are already renting rooms, were pushed out on the streets on short notice. Did all of them find someplace safe that night to sleep? Did some of them sleep on the street that night? We don’t know.
If we had a human rights commission for Dallas, and Fort Worth has had one since 1967, we could file a complaint and have a formal investigation.
This is Omar Narvaez’s smirky dismissal of the issue of Dallas not having a human rights commission.
Dallas still has creepy things in it. This lists 12 things to consider before visiting.
The Hating of Circuit Gays
The dominating element in this event, is how many Gays, Respectability Gays, attacked Daddyland maliciously and spread malicious rumors and expressed their open hostility. There seems to be also Gays who are jealous of Gays who are in shape and enjoying life.
There was an endless commentary that Gays must have done something wrong.
This was a response to Ersin Winokur’s statement on Facebook
These were responses to John Anderson having done a post on it. By the way, I screen captured all the comments, no sense in deleting any of them.
Notice how many people agreed these coments.
There was no thought that spreading malicious rumors perhaps shouldn’t be done.
These are responses to an announcement by Adam.
Adam Murphy’s post got these comments.
Local Gay reporter Vernell Milton thought this was funny on 7/10/2024 after Gays are thrown out on the street. His hostility towards the Daddyland participants is obvious.
Though not all Gays were attacking Daddyland. Special credit goes to these persons.
The following individual also has realized what many Gays nationally have realized about the Gays in Dallas.
There is also jealously of circuit Gays. The circuit Gays work out at the gym and try to watch what they eat and can be physically attractive. Other Gays are jealous. They attempted to pick up someone with a six-pack and got turned down and so now they are haters.
The general LGBT movement has become a movement of moral scolds often times and Circuit Gays are the sum of all villianies to them.
Picking on Gays who go to the gym, do dieting, and have fun has become a regular thing among movement people. It is their latent Calvinism surfacing in another way.
This is a Facebook group devoted to being jealous and hating Gays who are in shape.
https://www.facebook.com/ourbodiesgay
This post is representative of their drama. This prevailing hate of Gays going to the gym, dieting and dancing erupted with hostility towards the victims of the Crowne Plaza eviction, with blistering animosity towards the victims.
The author of this post in Dallas Gay Liberation never expected to be ripped and isn’t disposed to having self-curated anxieties over not being this or that. It seems a lot of people like drama instead.

Commentary
If some of the participants misbehaved, they could be evicted. People whose behavior is unacceptable are evicted. HOWEVER, to evict everyone over the behavior of a few is not acceptable. To do a mass eviction at a short notice of 2 or 3 hours is a serious hazard to their welfare. However, there was instead a big focus on condeming circuit Gays.
There are people who misbehave at conventions and conferences. They don’t kick out the whole conference and they don’t evict whole conferences with a notice of a couple hours. This is simply unacceptable.
There is in Dallas especially,self-hating Gays that wonder what the straight people will think, in particular what their Baptist cousin or aunt might think. This is the Buckle of the Bible Belt.
This is the town of Respectability Gays who think every Gay should be monogamous, married and adopt children, and if we are just respectable enough, they would be accepted into the establishment.
If you are a victim, the local LGBT will not support you, and they might victimize you also.
This is a town that wears a mask of being cosmopolitian, but in reality, it is a down with powerful homophobic forces and a Republican mayor who wanted the town to know that he voted for Trump in the primary.
Gays elsewhere should be warned, not only are you at hazard for things like Bath house raids or sudden mass hotel evictions, if you are a victim, Dallas Gays will be at the best be of no help and will want to forget what happened, such as the 2010 Bath house raid, or at worse, they will want to blame you and attack you.
Further our major daily newspaper is in cahoots with the local homophobes.
